“When you’re sitting and tapping your fingers on the keyboard thinking what you should look at, then it’s time to put down the computer. The stuff I do on the internet is not what most people would expect. A lot of people would assume I read about music or about myself. I mean, everybody does that a little bit, but I’m way more interested in a guy in downtown Decatur who has a 1991 Volvo with 56,000 original miles that he’s trying to get rid of for $4,000. That’s interesting to me.”
“Walkabout” by Atlas Sound (featuring Noah Lennox)
Justin Timberlake is one talented dude. I don’t know if y'all have seen his amazing SNL Update where he recapped the whole show that he missed in a minute but it was beyond impressive.
Here he teams up with Jimmy Fallon to track hip-hop from the last 20 years (Sugar Hill Gang, Beastie Boys, A Tribe Called Quest, The Roots, Eminem, etc.). Awesome. And the Roots as the backing band…Damn!

“Lips are Numb” by il gato
il gato sprains their hand playing kickball, tries out hip-hop and (Surprise!) hip-hop gets served.
Awww yeah!
Girls: “Oh My Love”
These local guys had a great album last year appropriately titled “Album”. This song is wonderful.
“We are All in the Clouds” - Live at the Bottom of the Hill
Thanks to everyone who came out yesterday to gorgeous Dolores Park! We had a great time and the music from Wolf & Crow, The Shants and The Ferocious Few were all sublime and either so perfectly peaceful or exuberantly energetic. And thanks to Mission Mission for listing it.
We have a show coming up this Sunday as part of the Seaweed Sway showcase at the Make-Out Room and then we have a big show at Hemlock on August 1st with Bill Baird (formerly of SoundTeam) and the awesome Jesse Woods.
